I transcended industry boundaries...
All that hard work has been definitely worth it. I am convinced that the road to securing this great position would have been a lot bumpier had I not the support of yourself and the team at EPR.
Please feel free to cite me as an example of a person able to transcend industry boundaries. Luck had nothing to do with it. The discipline, skills, focus and the confidence that was developed through the EPR process made the difference.
Once again, my genuine appreciation for your professional support and that provided by the team at EPR.

Business Improvement Manager secures dream job created especially for him...
I was a Business Improvement Manager who had somehow lost control of my career focus. I was working for a renowned international company that didn’t seem to appreciate or know how to utilize my skills. My confidence in myself and what I had to offer suffered and I couldn’t seem to turn it around from a downward spiral. After all, if my company couldn’t see the value in my skills, who would?
Signing up with EPR was a gamble but one I decided to take because the alternative of a mediocre job was no longer attractive.
The process itself I was prepared for being quite difficult and painful knowing that it would involve a lot of self analysis. And I won’t lie, some of it was. However, it is a big testament to Andrew that I can honestly say that it never actually eventuated in this way. Andrew made it so much a comfortable, humorous journey that I was having too much fun to find it insurmountable. Yes, there were times when it was a little hard and I seemed to get stuck but Andrew would gently encourage me until I was ready to face the next step.
With his help I was able to assess what it is I wanted, not only out of a career and job but also out of life and how to match the two. Initially, I didn’t know whether I should consider an entire career change or continue to use my current skill set. Together we determined that my existing skills are a perfect match for what I love to do but up until this point I had never completely understood them or matched them to an environment that complemented my goals and values. That sorted, we moved on to exploring industries and companies that captured my interest to identify what would be a perfect match. Nine months after my first meeting (there were a few stops and starts along the way at my own request), I found myself being offered my dream job with another international company that I had networked into. Not only was it my dream job, but they created it for me after recognizing an ideal fit in goals and values.
Thank you EPR for all your support and in particular to Andrew, Faye and Russell who made this journey the best and most rewarding roller-coaster ride I’ve been on.

Finally, success securing the position thanks to the EPR process (after repeatedly failing alone)...
I am certain that I would have not succeeded in securing such a position without participating in the EPR process.
The EPR process assisted me in many ways, from understanding the highly competitive nature of the employment market, to focusing my career goals, through to developing a greater confidence in my career achievements. The developing of my resume, my participation in the workshops all combined to play a significant role in my securing this position.
As you are aware I initially tried unsuccessfully to obtain a number of similar positions. Having completed the EPR process I clearly see why I failed and equally important as to why I succeeded on the position I really wanted.
The added bonus to my EPR involvement is that I now have a skill set that I can apply to other aspects of my life and career. It was also personally enlightening and good fun.

Short-listed for 6 out of 7 applications and offered 2 jobs...
On reflection, I thought I should write a thank you note for the absolutely fantastic work done in assisting me with my career transition.
At the time of accepting my job offer, I had been short-listed for six out of seven applications. This led to a situation of simultaneous job offers for two positions, while being in the last two candidates in three of the other positions still being processed.
In the end, the most difficult part was deciding which job to take!
What was of most value for me was learning how to focus on achievements. This provided the confidence to feel comfortable in selling myself, which I had always found difficult.

Mediocre interviewee transformed – Told: “You really do know how to sell yourself!”...
There is no doubt that the training, advice and feedback over the time I used for your firm’s services had a significant and positive impact on my ability to sell myself in what is a competitive and difficult market for job searchers.
I was transformed from what I would class a mediocre interviewee, to one where one consultant looked me in the eye and said, “You really do know how to sell yourself!”
As proof of this I was in the fortunate position of having two very senior roles offered by two different firms in the same week.

Interviewing techniques...
Over a number of years, I must have interviewed dozens of people for various positions, but it’s not until you attend an EPR course that you realise how little you know about the techniques of interviewing or more to the point, about being interviewed.

Chief Financial Officer gains greater responsibility and a much higher salary package...
As a direct result of your programme I have just accepted a position as Chief Financial Officer with a vibrant company that is a market leader in its field.
Prior to your programme, I was convinced I would have to forego salary to obtain a new position: this new position has greater responsibility and a much higher salary package. It is a logical progression in my career.

EPR helped me target, approach and secure my new career...
I had previously used an outplacement service, but have found in so many ways EPR provided a real and total solution that far exceeded my previous experience.
I initially commenced a job search to replace the job I had, whether as permanent or contract but all the time feeling that a career change was required. The process took almost five months, with a lot of time off in the middle for family matters (EPR helped here too). Even when I had contract roles EPR was still keeping me focused on the main game—finding my new career.
EPR’s software, methodology and one-on-one coaching and mentoring was able to assist me to clearly define and pragmatically assess the real world options that enabled forward focus on my chosen career path. The specialties of the EPR staff came together to assist me to target and approach my desired new career, to structure my application to my prospective employer and to achieve a fantastic result of a hole-in-one. THE JOB I really thought that I could do and really wanted.
Thank you EPR!

Without work, but not without a positive business environment... and some laughs...
Thanks to you and the EPR team for supporting me through the stressful process of being without work and for your invaluable assistance in linking me up with this great job opportunity.
The more formal aspects of your program such as the ‘hidden market’ training and the resume building were tremendously useful. However, it was two more unexpected aspects of the EPR service that were the most powerful for me.
The first was the provision of a business environment during a period of personal uncertainty. Workshops conducted in the company of successful, fully employed individuals looking for a change, one-on-one coaching sessions with professional people who were on my side, even the “pressure to perform” in keeping up my rate of networking calls and applications, all contributed to my sense of still being linked into the professional world. I was, amazingly, able to take pleasure in the leisure afforded by my ‘time off’ and to remain much more optimistic than I had expected, in the knowledge that I had not really come adrift.
The other aspect, truly, was the laughs! How can one not be hopeful when one’s sense of perspective and opportunity is so forcefully reinforced?
It was excellent working with you and I have not hesitated to recommend EPR to colleagues and friends who might benefit from the association.

Melbourne, MBA and a job in an unrelated field... Networking leads to ideal job...
Relocating to Melbourne after completing my MBA, I found it very difficult to find a company that would utilise my skills and experience. Taking a job in an unrelated field, I began to lose my self confidence. I had become complacent in my attitude towards my future and even considered returning to the USA as Australia did not seem to offer the path I had strived to achieve.
After I made the decision to quit my job and look for a future, EPR offered me the opportunity to learn about myself – my goals, aspirations and most importantly my career. You and your staff assisted me in my personal development and allowed me to build my self confidence back to a higher level! I must admit, I was sceptical about the programme, but after biting the bullet and taking the plunge — it was FANTASTIC!
I gained experience in interview techniques that I did not possess and you enabled me to refine my resume and presentation skills. Most interestingly, I found the seminars in “networking” to be the most useful as after two contacts I was offered a job — I would never have believed that this method would work — seeing is believing!
The skills EPR helped me to refine have already served me well in my new position and making an INVESTMENT IN MYSELF has certainly paid off!

Total transformation of career approach for new migrant...
I cannot get enough words to convey my sincere gratitude to EPR. As you are aware I am a new migrant and the changes needed a total transformation of my career approach and presentation skills. EPR provided me the correct path to follow. I was able to sell myself effectively, which hitherto I had never done.
In my case, it was the Hidden market techniques along with your excellent profile of myself that got me the opportunity eventually.

Profession Transition: position with international property development company secured...
The transition between professions is never easy at the best of times.
It is with great pleasure that I am able to report to EPR news of my success in securing a permanent position with a reputable international property development company.
This success has not come without careful long-term planning, commitment, persistence and the support, skills and confidence EPR have provided to me.
The art of ‘networking’ resulted in securing the opportunity to be included in the interview process. The skill of interview technique and confidence helped capture the interest of the interview panel.
The current career transition is a very critical one for me, and I can now look forward to improved happiness and prosperity in future, thanks to EPR.

45 job applications, only 4 interviews... Then, landed 1st job applied for using the EPR process...
As I think you realized in the beginning I was a sceptic about the EPR process and questioned what tangible benefits the courses would provide. I always thought it was a numbers game – the more I got my resume out there, the quicker I would find work. How wrong I was!
Prior to implementing the process, I had applied for 45 jobs and had only four interviews, all with agencies, and I did not get second interviews with any of them. Then, I got the first job I applied for after implementing the process, and not just any job, the right position, the right industry and the right package.
I cannot emphasize strongly enough, any executive not using the EPR process is missing out on the most powerful career transition tools available and will extend their transition unnecessarily and to their peril.
A huge thank you for your support and encouragement which I could not have done without.

Success in negotiating a senior role outside Australia...
This letter is to say how much I appreciated your efforts and consultation while I embarked on my search for a new career outside Australia. My career move benefited extremely well from your extensive experience in multinationals and overseas, particularly in Asia.
Thank you for your fantastic advice during my final career negotiations. I am thrilled to achieve the objectives we set together in an industry currently in the state of a severe downturn:
- A senior role with one of the world’s leaders in telecommunications
- Work location in PR China
- A considerable increase in remuneration and responsibility
The job interview workshops were excellent, particularly as the whole experience of observing others and improving myself was a really enjoyable way of learning.
I will be recommending your services to everyone I know who is looking for a new career direction and to maximise their potential. I know that one has already started to work with you.

Senior Change Management Consultant switches to Senior Project Officer with ease...
I was a Senior Change Management Consultant and was working very long hours under high levels of pressure with little time for interaction with management and feedback on my performance. As such, I was not able to reflect on my future and my own skill development and work preferences. Despite this, resigning was one of the most difficult decisions I have made—I did not have another role to go to and I was not clear on what I wanted to do next (let alone the impending financial pressure if I found myself unemployed for a long period.)
It was in this state of low self confidence and high uncertainty that I went to EPR. I knew that I needed both interpersonal and technical job search skills but was not sure how to make myself ‘stand out from the crowd’. I am delighted to recall that from my first encounter with the organization, I had nothing but positive experiences. There is clearly a culture of support and commitment to clients starting with Fay at reception through to yourself and your consultants.
Susan guided me through a path of identifying who I was and what I wanted to do with a friendly and honest hand. Her ability to ‘hold up the mirror’ for me to observe myself and challenge me to test my assumptions and beliefs is remarkable.
This work is just not about changing jobs—I found the experience to be about unearthing who I am as a person so that I am able to choose and then function in a work role and situation that I know to be consistent with my own strengths and values.
In addition, we covered the more technical areas of career transition, such as identifying the organizations that are aligned with my preferences and developing a ‘one minute’ speech about who I am as a worker. We also worked through strategies for working for managing challenging work situations.
I secured a new role exactly four weeks after I resigned. I am a Senior Project Officer and am enjoying my substantially improved quality of life.
I recommend EPR to anyone who knows that they need to change their work situation and who is prepared to work hard at both the personal discoveries and the acquisition of job search skills that this entails.
I thank you all again for your wonderful approach.

An exciting new career as National Operations and Customer Service Manager...
The seminars and one-to-one sessions at EPR helped me to identify what I really wanted to do and provided me with the skills I needed to reach my goal in securing a new career within the logistics field. Using the skills I picked up at EPR I have now embarked on an exciting new career as National Operations and Customer Service Manager with a large Australian logistics company.
In the past I had fallen from one job to the next and had ended up being dissatisfied with what I was doing. The skills I acquired at EPR not only helped me secure this position but will help me with my career development in the future.
Again, my thanks to all at EPR. I hope you all appreciate the sense of achievement and fulfilment you bring to the lives of friends and customers.

Chief Executive Officer position secured against an outstanding field of applicants...
With EPR’s training I was able to secure the position of Chief Executive Officer for … against an outstanding field of applicants.
I recommend EPR services as essential training for senior managers, not just for the next job they may pursue but for application in everyday management practice. I have recommended EPR to a number of my close friends and I am pleased they have reiterated a similar view from their experiences with EPR.

Hidden employment opportunities uncovered as a result of networking through contacts...
Having been involved with EPR from both sides of the fence, being an employer who used the services to assist my employees, and then ultimately using EPR in this same manner, I am delighted to say that the way in which you say to corporations you will assist their staff in career guidance and outplacement, EPR and its people are true to their word and company goals.
From the career advice, to the critiquing of resumes and interview techniques, the forums with other people and the workshop, all were very valuable tools in assisting me to develop a new career.
However, there is one technique that I now firmly believe to be the most relevant way to securing your own future. Using your network of contacts. This networking is not just direct people you know, but second, third and even fourth hand people you or your contacts know. These were the most valuable leads I found, and ultimately my new destiny came from the networking through contacts. I would not have realised this if you and your fellow colleagues had not opened up this world of employment opportunities to me.
Once again, thank you for your support, direction, critiquing and friendship over the past four months. I also express my gratitude to Dale and Faye, and the other staff at EPR that I met. Their continuous concern for my family and I was most appreciated as we moved on with life and opened new doors for both of us to follow.

Highly motivated and self directed person, guided in their career change quest by EPR...
When I decided to approach EPR, I did so out of curiosity rather than a feeling that I could gain from the experience. Being a highly motivated and self directed person, I did not feel that any organization could guide me in the quest I had embarked on.
Having successfully made two career transitions in my life, the first from engineering to management and the next from management to education, and attained acclaim in both fields, I felt I was a long way towards fulfilling my next dream.
Now, a few months after EPR, I know that the organization and its methods are far superior to any I could have imagined. EPR has a technique that is second to none, and its choice of personnel is legendary.
You have been an excellent mentor, guide, facilitator and a true asset to EPR. I know that those early discussions will be the guiding force that has, and will shape how I approach the journey that I have set on.
I wish EPR continued success and will be its ambassador through advertising its value to those aspiring for a change in career.

General Manager of E Commerce Services for the Asia Pacific region... thanks to EPR...
I have accepted the position of General Manager E Commerce Services for the Asia Pacific region.
It is absolutely certain that I would not have been able to have identified, found and won this position without the help and preparation EPR provided. I would also emphasise that from my time working with EPR, I have learnt a great deal not only about winning positions but also about setting personal targets and attaining them.
I would take this opportunity to thank you all at EPR and for your patience and outstanding professionalism.

Advertised job market, 2 months, no success... Unadvertised market, 1 month, offered 4 positions...
I found the insights gained into how to effectively manage your career invaluable. From my perspective the investment paid off one hundred fold. Firstly it helped me to objectively evaluate my aspirations with my skill mix, secondly I developed a CV which more accurately reflected my aims and experience and finally and most importantly I came to understand the ‘unadvertised market’ and how to access it.
I suggest that you cannot reinforce enough to all future clients, the benefits of being proactive in this market. In my case as you know I initially spent two months fiddling around in the advertised job market with little success. Following this, I spent approximately one and a half months researching the unadvertised market with the result that I was offered four positions, all of which arose from the unadvertised market.
My experience could almost suggest that maybe you are being conservative with your 75% ratio as my outcome ran to 100%!

Papers weren’t advertising type of position I wanted, the ‘hidden market’ system worked brilliantly...
The ‘hidden market’ system worked brilliantly for me. Upon completion of my coaching in initial skills I had found that the papers were not advertising the type of position I wanted (although I could have filled many of those advertised), so the hidden market was the ideal solution. I had tremendous success in making new contacts in industries (where I knew nobody) and found that everyone was helpful. Some people couldn’t do enough, even offering jobs along the way.
Practising, drilling and rehearsing certainly paid off during every step. Especially for the final interview when I knew I had the interviewer sold in the first four minutes.
My experience stands testament to the tremendous change of direction bringing success that can be achieved with the right help. I shall have no hesitation in recommending EPR’s professional services to my friends and anyone seeking professional career management.

Offered 3 Senior level positions in Australia after spending 4 years in Asia...
I’d like to take this opportunity of thanking you for all the help I’ve received from EPR, particularly the mentoring, advice and encouragement you have given me during my job search. Returning to Australia after 4 ½ years in Asia, it was quite a challenge getting back into the workforce at such a senior level.
The skills you taught me, and more importantly the process of really thinking through what it was I wanted out of career and life and my career, have contributed to my success. In fact, I ended up with three 3 very appealing senior job offers to choose from!!!
Please thank the team at EPR … they are making a huge difference in the lives of very many people.

Technical Manager position secured... the positive changes I underwent were remarkable...
It is my pleasure to report today that I accepted an offer of employment as a Technical Manager.
Make no mistake, I would not be in this position without EPR. Your workshops were a revelation: the positive changes in outlook, approach and self-confidence I underwent were remarkable and produced immediate results. Indeed, one of the interviewers at … was taken aback at the transformation between January and now.
I have become tireless in singing the praises of EPR, but not just because I am another “success story”. People use EPR to achieve career transition, but this is really only part of the story. Of equal importance is that the skills learned and impact on self-esteem can be used throughout one’s career. The ability to sell oneself has application in numerous situations beyond the resume and/or interview.

I went from 1 interview every 2-3 months, to 5 interviews in less than 3 weeks...
From the time I decided to undertake your program, I went from about one interview every two to three months, to five interviews in less than three weeks.
All in all, the future looks very bright, and my most pressing problem now is what car to choose with my package. Incidentally, the job with Optus was not advertised and was one I didn’t apply for. It illustrates well the points you made about networking.

From a bad experience in the workforce, to a first class company in a job created just for me....
The recent bad experiences in the workforce had a negative effect on me. I had actually started to believe in the negative things my boss kept telling me, was lacking confidence and had zero career direction. Like the majority of people, I was applying for jobs well below my skills and qualifications, when a marvellous person from an IT recruitment agency picked up on my hidden talents.
He suggested visiting EPR. I was touched that a complete stranger saw my potential in a professional role. EPR changed my way of thinking. As the weeks went by, you helped me to develop people and career management skills that will stay with me forever. For the first time in my life I actually knew what type of job and company I wanted to work for.
Three months later, I am working in a first rate company. The job did not exist but was created just for me. No messing around with, “We have to interview another batch of people and will get back to you.”
EPR prepared me in a professional way for working for a first class company. Provided me with the confidence, people skills, a positive outlook to life, a professional touch, the feeling of importance and pride.
In the past 12 months I have bought a quality car and a fabulous Arab horse. Yet the best thing I have spent my money on was the careers development course at EPR. This has opened the doors of opportunity, ability to make friends easily, how to deal with arrogant people and personal development resulting in an excellent job at a substantial salary increase. They say money can’t buy happiness. But money did buy me happiness. The fee was a small price to pay for such wonderful improvements towards life and happiness.

The Healthcare sector is where I wanted to stay... I gained the position of Business Manager...
The early phase of the program was a real eye-opener with respect to the soul searching and identification of what I really wanted, and the importance of identifying that a career is not just a job, but a “journey through life”.
The Healthcare sector is where I wanted to stay, and moreover, I was able to establish that I was more of a frontier-breaking entrepreneurial type and needed the challenge of building businesses and forming new alliances etc. Knowing this, I was able to streamline my job search.
The latter phases of the program worked on changing and/or fine-tuning my presentation skills. The CV took on a new look, the confidence was given a huge boost via the workshops and role-playing and most importantly the self-belief in that anything was achievable.
I am now happy to report that I was successful in gaining the position of Business Manager. The entire selection process from my initial fact-finding calls through to the interview(s) was amazing. Never before had I been so confident in my approaches to gaining meaningful employment. The art of striking an early accord with the right people and being able to subtly control an interview process (in front of six directors!) certainly influenced my being appointed to the position.
You and the team at EPR gave me these skills and confidence, and for this I am extremely grateful. What an excellent program.

Building a network of professional contacts in the aviation industry paid off handsomely...
I don’t mind admitting that I was a little sceptical when I first decided to work with EPR on arriving in Australia, but you very quickly gave me the disciplined and structured approach to my career search that I needed.
Your coaching on the ‘hidden market’ and your skills workshops on networking have paid off handsomely, allowing me to build in a short space of time a really useful group of professional contacts in the aviation industry that has grown and strengthened. Equally helpful was the coaching and role play training in interview skills: so much so that my first two interviews both resulted in firm job offers!
Last but not least, I have actually enjoyed the career search process and have felt a real sense of personal growth and development through the experience.

Getting an interview for a Senior position is so different today...
The skills required to even get an interview for a senior position today are vastly different than those needed last time I was in the market. Without the expert material and coaching from EPR I am convinced that I would still be trying to get my foot in the door.
To anyone who is considering the value of signing up with EPR for their career transition I would give the following advice. Ask yourself how serious you are about wanting to attain that position you aspire to. If you really want it, or if you are in the position I was in, where you have no other choice sign up today and start practicing the skills necessary to showcase the abilities you have to a prospective employer who doesn’t know you from the other 150 applicants.

18 years in academia, ready for a change... I got the job over 70 other highly qualified applicants...
Today is the first day of my new job and I couldn’t have got it without you and EPR.
A year ago I was stressed, unhappy in my job and unable to see a way to find another, more challenging and rewarding position. After 18 years in academia I was burnt out and ready for a change but I was convinced other work cultures would not suit me and that academics had difficulty adjusting to different environments.
The personal support seminars and professional help I received from you and EPR helped turn those negative perspectives around. My greatly improved CV, the excellent coaching you gave me on interview techniques and my own changed attitudes got me this job over 70 other highly qualified applicants.
The interesting aspect to all of this is that the position as advertised was not quite what I was looking for but EPR had trained me to think about approaching employers and discussing my unique abilities with them and I did. The CEO then contacted me and urged me to apply so that I could be interviewed and considered in a managerial role.

HR Manager Position, 130 applicants, 12 interviewees – I got the job!
I just wanted to let you know how well the position is working out and how invaluable the advice I received was from EPR.
I have learnt since beginning as HR Manager that there were 130 applications for the position. Of these applications only 12 people were interviewed. I feel that my written presentation gave me the edge to be among those interviewed and the confidence then to succeed at the interview. Since beginning in the position I have had people say how ‘lucky’ I was, however, I feel that I made my own luck and the preparation I put in earned me this position.

I was at a loss to know which direction to take...
I contacted EPR earlier this year at a time in my life when I was at a loss to know which direction to take. I had tried unsuccessfully on many occasions to relocate to Melbourne and was disheartened with the whole process.
With your extensive knowledge and supportive guidance I worked my way through the work requirements. There were many times that you challenged me, and times I resisted what you were saying to me. However, together, we have achieved a great deal.
One of the aspects of your guidance that I really appreciated was your ability to help me look at the ‘bigger picture’ and broaden my thinking.
I can say with total conviction that working with you and undertaking the program changed my life, and for that I thank you most sincerely.
My message to any prospective clients of EPR is ‘take a chance, embrace the program and you will be amazed at the results’.

Self-employed for the past 15 years, I was out of touch with the employment market...
...and to be working with a group with similar values to me! I had not expected to achieve all three qualities in my job search. Working with EPR has been a most rewarding experience; it has transformed how I define and present my capabilities, how I manage others’ capabilities, has flowed through to how I design and manage my own accountabilities, and given me a strong financial return on investment, as well.
Some specific benefits are:
- The hidden market networking you coached me in opened just the right doors, as you promised it would. The one-page profile gives me a great edge in hidden market meetings.
- I have a very effective CV that reliably gets me short-listed for interviews. And I now know how to keep developing it as my career progresses.
- The three-minute opening and closing scripts for interviews and STARs have added substantial polish to my interview technique.
- I have adapted your approach to hidden market networking and the one-page profile to seeking new business opportunities for the business I am now in.
Most of all, clarifying what I have to offer the market and who most wants and needs that skill-set made the actual job search quick and effective, especially since I have been self-employed for most of the past 15 years and was out of touch with how to succeed in the employment market. Knowing I continue to have a partner in EPR in my career development gives me great confidence and empowers my intention to contribute to the workforce for many years to come.

Career change from a corporate trainer to a member of senior management...
I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you so much for the support, guidance, knowledge and ‘prodding’ (in the best sense of the word!) that you have provided over the last few months. I would not have in my difficult endeavour of changing the direction of my career from a corporate trainer to a member of senior management without the mentoring that you have so generously provided.
My decision to use EPR to help me through my career crisis was one of the best decisions I have ever made for my professional career. Despite the initial huge investment, I believe that the skills I have learned from you, the readings and the workshops have proved invaluable and will continue to do so over the rest of my career lifespan.
As you would already know, I have spoken about my great experience with EPR and referred you to many of my friends and even clients.

The network proved to be my source of a new position...
Thank you for all of your assistance and the very valuable workshops. I found the information provided, the video sessions and the peer reviews most helpful.
EPR is certainly on the right course, the network proved my source of new position, whereas the advertised market brought nothing but frustrations.
PS
EPR gave me the tools needed to successfully manage my career transition...
There are at least three things about EPR that I found especially useful during this challenging time of career change:
- A systematic and focused approach which provided me with many insights into the career transition process and made the task more manageable and achievable.
- Caring professionals with a clear vision to improve the process which inspired me with confidence in approaching the task and provided me with just the right amount of professional support and guidance.
- The practical approach which gave me the tools needed to successfully manage my career transition.

Skills gained in the Navy transferred into commercial language....
The competitive advantage that the training EPR gives an applicant is amazing. I can now walk into any interview and know that I can answer ANY question and turn it into my advantage. After going through the training, the real life interview is a ‘walk in the park’.
For someone like myself, who has spent most of his working life in the Navy you did wonders with my resume. You identified skills that I did not know I had and then transferred them into commercial language.
I will continue to be a raving fan of EPR and will recommend you to all and sundry.

Executive achieves an interview strike rate of 80%...
As you know, I have been travelling to and from Berrigan in NSW every week for several years now with obvious disruption to family life. I had made numerous applications for a variety of positions in Melbourne without success. (A strike rate of about 5% in gaining a first interview and zero success from that point.)
With your help in developing a strong impacting CV, I achieved an interview strike rate of 80% (4 out of 5) and gained second interview in 75% of cases (3 out of 4). As part of the ‘marketing document’ set, the covering letter and follow up letters were also of great significance. It was a matter of altering a bland letter to something much more professional and impacting and your help in doing this was also invaluable.
You also helped me immensely in presenting myself in the appropriate professional, enthusiastic and confident manner at interview. Your advice in terms of focus and cutting out irrelevancies and ‘waffle’ was of great value. You taught me to slow down and think of the listener as well as developing my own listening skills. It seems to me that this is the essence of good communication in life generally. Thank you for that.
My career goal of finding a position in Melbourne has always been there. However, the clarity gained by defining the goal, altering it to the right position and then writing it down and locking it in, helped immensely in developing the confidence and determination required.
I will certainly recommend EPR’s services to other executives I meet who may have a need. As I see it, that is probably all of them if they wish to advance their careers.

EPR helped me determine where I was heading with my career rather than drift...
The interaction I had with EPR was particularly helpful as it forced me to review where I was heading with my career rather than drift.
I have had a chance to reflect on how things have turned out and it is clear to me that EPR made an important difference in this process. Perhaps the most important aspect for me was the back to basics approach of determining what I was really looking for. I had worked myself into a blind alley and EPR helped to get me back up and move forward in the right direction.
I would recommend EPR to anyone who is serious about looking for the right position.

BEFORE: no interviews and no work for 3 months, AFTER: offered a position I really wanted...
My association with EPR could be described as the classic ‘before’ – no interviews and no work over a three month period and ‘after’ – I was achieving contract work and not less than one interview per week for a permanent position; ultimately being offered a position which I really wanted.

At 54 I resigned from my position as Managing Director...
I encountered EPR by chance (an ad in the Age) when I was going through a testing period working for an American public company and questioning where I was really headed and what I really wanted to do.
At 54 I resigned from my position as Managing Director having taken the operation from a start-up to more than $20 million in three years and decided to take a few months off to search for whatever it was I was missing: I didn’t know at that stage.
The importance of contacts, belief in oneself, practice (regardless of how senior the person or role sought) are all traits that we possess as senior professionals but some of which we can forget too easily when presented with a different set of circumstances.
The EPR team all are to be congratulated for providing a service and guiding structure that I consider second to none.
And yes, I did find that position I was looking for; General Manager Global Sales and Marketing for an Australian technology based company and I have all those at EPR to thank wholeheartedly for the experience.
My very profound thanks to one and all from both of us.

Senior Executive gains lifetime networking skills...
Having spent many years in senior executive positions with blue chip Australian and international companies, I thought I knew how to go about securing a new job.
I was wrong: without the professional support and truly outstanding coaching that you provided to me, I would probably be still looking and waiting for potential employers to call me. You showed me and I learnt from you the art of networking which in the end helped secure the job that I wanted.
Thanks to you, I now realize that I can use my networking skills at work, with my colleagues and managers, my friends and really in any professional or social situation that I find myself.
Thanks for providing me with lifetime networking skills which enabled me to secure the position of Vice President with responsibilities across Asia Pacific and Japan.
I highly recommend your services to anyone wanting to achieve more in his or her professional career.

I was able to turn down a number of jobs before the right one was offered to me...
I would like to add my letter of appreciation to your very thick pile. I have secured a position I know I will enjoy and develop for a very long time.
I was able to do this with the great self confidence you and your course has instilled in me. It is always a difficult time in one’s life to change career course, particularly when one has feelings of self doubt. You were able to turn around my self doubt and enabled me to focus on the strengths and talents I bring to my professional life.
You taught me how to be the best candidate I could be, not just the best candidate applying for the job.
Your marketing documents are second to none, as are your interview and follow up techniques. Your insights into the hidden market are enlightening. Due to your career planning exercises, I was able to turn down a number of jobs before the right one was offered to me. Even when the right job was offered, your help with salary negotiation was invaluable.
I would encourage the reader to take the opportunity EPR offers. You will not regret it.

Another senior management role... here because I want to be here and not just for the money...
After achieving in several management roles over my career I took the opportunity to take a break and assess where I wanted to go in my career. Having started on my six months break away from work I realised that not only did I not really have a process to work out what I really wanted to do next, I also did not have the daily contact with colleagues to bounce ideas off. After a short while doubts quickly crept in about what I really wanted to do, should I just take the first offer I got?, etc, and I needed assistance.
Having seen your advertisement several times as I perused the papers I decided to give EPR a call and check whether they had the solution to assist me in moving forward. I was pleased to find that EPR offered the complete package and whilst I didn’t need all that was on offer I was happy to join up knowing if I did need help in any area it was readily available.
Whilst currently I find myself once again in a senior role managing change in an organisation,. I know I am here because I want to be here and not just for the money. I also use my newly gained knowledge from EPR to constantly assess opportunities from my growing networks for the next time I seek change once again.
I have recommended EPR to several people since last year and know that at least one person has signed up and is also very happy with the process.

Employed in Washington DC, with an organization whose mission is aligned with my own...
My journey commenced with an awakening many years ago. This transition of conscience was followed by the establishment of a vision and a plan to achieve that vision. When the time came for the end-move, that final stage, I found myself ill equipped and uncertain. Your encouragement enabled me to find the courage to proceed, and the training provided by EPR provided the tools and the confidence to make the move successfully.
Three and a half months after making that leap of faith, I find myself employed here in Washington DC, with an organization whose mission is aligned with my own, and in a position that challenges me and where I am able to utilize all the skills that I have to offer. I could not be happier.

Executive excels at panel interview thanks to EPR workshops and personal coaching...
The enthusiasm and professionalism of you and your team is first class. The three areas I felt particularly supported with were:
- Resume writing and refinement. I feel that I’m much more ‘saleable’ now due to a concise, succinct and impactful curriculum vitae that clearly highlights my skills, achievements and experience. A prospective employer will be left with a favourable impression after seeing my resume, thus increasing the prospects of reaching the interview stage.
- Weekly workshops. I learnt the importance of effective networking, letter writing and developed strong interview and personal presentation skills. Many executives are selected for their jobs based on the impression they make at the ‘panel interview’ stage and your role playing and simulations during the evening workshops gave me greater confidence and skill in being able to effectively sell myself.
- Personal coaching. This is your organisation’s greatest strength. I was under prepared and quite nervous before my panel interview for this new position. Your coaching and personal attention in readying me for my two hour interview underpinned my success. Clearly you have an intimate grasp and understanding of the HR industry. The questions you told me I’d be asked, the panel asked. Thanks to your coaching, my responses were powerful, clear and sensitively self-promoting. In short, I felt confident and ‘bullet proof’ before and during the interview.
Your responsiveness and commitment to your clients’ success is top class.

The skills I gained relating to the hidden market helped me find this position...
Thank you and the EPR team for the exceptional contribution you made to my improved situation.
In the first instance I found the content of the training to be of excellent quality, comprehensive and insightful. It took account not only the realities of today’s job market, but also, with sensitivity of the tremendously stressful impact a job search can have upon those seeking employment or career change.
The thorough professionalism of the entire EPR team, combined with the high quality course material, helped to provide me with insight into planning a career, it restored confidence and belief in my ability, and equipped me with skills which I will be able to use again and again in so many facets of my life. The skills relating to the hidden market were of particular benefit and in fact, were directly relevant to my finding this position.
There is a quotation I encountered recently which bears repeating. Change begins within ourselves and I guess the quote encapsulates this concept fairly well. The gist of it is as follows: “An insane person can be defined as: One who does the same thing over and over again, but expects a different result each time!”
My thanks once again.

I gained the skills, knowledge and confidence to feel 10 feet tall when I walked into interviews...
The transition period was not an easy one for me to adjust to and your support and the confidence you engendered was invaluable. You enabled me to never lose site of the objective and encouraged me to tackle the task with military precision.
Please thank Steve for me. Both of you provided the skills, knowledge and confidence for me to feel 10 feet tall when I walked into important meetings and interviews.
Above all I met some wonderful helpful managers and professionals during my networking, and I state without reservation that “NETWORKING IS POWERFUL STUFF”.

State Manager position secured thanks to the services of EPR...
I am pleased to advise that I have now officially accepted the position of State Manager, a position which will afford me great opportunities and challenges.
The simple truth however, is that I would not now be in this very fortunate position without the services of EPR. You have been able to use your extensive and well-defined career search skills, together with admirable personal and communication skills, to guide and assist me in effectively addressing the career process.
I believe the future success of EPR is assured given its strong customer focus and demonstrable ability to achieve positive results.

Objective met: a package that represents a 45% increase on my existing benefits...
The role I will be undertaking reflects a good fit with my personal objectives of wealth creation, effective information management with a strong results focus and all on a package that represents a 45% increase on my existing benefits.
I must admit that since redesigning my resume and updating my job hunting skills I received a lot more interest from potential employers and achieved a stronger focus on what my next role and company was going to be. It enabled me to weed out those companies who I thought did not manage their information effectively and would not be able to create competitive advantage in the future.
Once again there is blue sky in my career path and a big thanks to EPR for your assistance.

Leaving my comfort zone led to a positive career switch...
I am certain that I would not have succeeded in a positive career switch without your personal coaching and the EPR program.
The skills I gained in preparing marketing documents, interview techniques, speaking, networking and follow up helped make the difference.
Above all, you gave me the confidence to leave my comfort zone and to approach a most daunting task (I even gained the courage to reject a very good offer from another firm).
I will continue to use these skills in other areas of my life.

Personal guidance in clarifying my future career goals was invaluable...
I am writing to commend EPR on the excellent assistance and support program that was provided to me during my recent career transition.
Your personal guidance in coaching, testing and clarifying my future career goals was invaluable.
In particular, I found that EPR’s approach in assisting me to secure the right employment position was of great assistance. The formal components of the workshop groups provided the opportunity to either relearn or validate a number of important technical skills in seeking employment. The workshops provided a forum to ‘fine tune’ key presentation skills to a potential employer. The informal supports were equally as important and I found that your listening skills, reality checks and positive approaches in assisting my pursuit of another employment opportunity highly beneficial.
As you are aware, I have already referred a colleague to utilize your highly professional service and would have no hesitancy in continuing to do so.

EPR helped me secure my first job in Australia...
I would like to thank EPR for its key role in helping me land my first job in Australia in very difficult market conditions.
I am convinced that it would have taken me much more time without your help. I am really a true example of how much your method of accessing the hidden market works.
Your services were definitely worth many times their prices. I will keep recommending EPR to anybody looking for an exciting career.

Dentist’s newly gained polish and finesse gets him into an elite course at Harvard University...
I came to EPR as a general dentist with the hope of pursuing a Master’s degree in Orthodontics in the US. Gaining entry into any orthodontics course is extremely competitive let alone when the program is half way around the world.
After I explained my plans, situation and the process with EPR, the staff worked meticulously through my resume and other documentation to gain the best result. My personal consultant, Deb, was not only extremely competent but also enjoyable to work with.
Having not had formal interviews for jobs, etc in my life, learning this skill was pertinent for success. The thoroughness and inspirational atmosphere at the interview skills seminars will always be highly valued by myself and I am sure by the other participants.
I believe EPR gave me the polish and finesse to ‘get me across the line’. I always felt that I had a good chance but were it not for the guidance, advice and training at EPR my success would not have been as great as it was. In the first instance, EPR’s assistance with the written word secured me a solid number of interviews across the States and Canada. But then EPR’s interview skills instruction helped me to perform to my optimum at the interviews and then to gain a place at one of the greatest universities in the world: Harvard University. Out of a total of 250 applications, 25 people were invited for interviews, and six selected into the course!
Thank you all at EPR for giving me the edge and confidence to really sell myself and my achievements in a positive and natural manner.

I’m at a crucial time in my career and I wanted to maximize my potential for any career opportunity that may have arisen. I can honestly say that I feel I have achieved this, and I attribute a lot of my recent success on the skills and techniques learnt at EPR.
Thank you for your fantastic advice during my recent career negotiations. I now have a position that I might have only dreamt of a year ago. Being in that situation to decide between 2 job offers was a challenge to say the least, our discussions helped me tremendously and I am sure my new career with … is the right move.
I will be recommending your course to everyone I know who is looking for a new career direction and to maximise their potential.

Thinking and acting more as if my career was a business really paid off...
EPR’s insights into the whole job hunting / hiring process, together with its structured programme convinced me to engage EPR.
The workbook, workshops and one-on-one discussions over many weeks allowed me to develop my networking and interview skills and be better prepared than ever before.
With a total focus, commitment and determination to secure a challenging position, I started thinking and acting much more as if my career was a business. And how it has paid off.

Post-MBA studies career transition significantly enhanced by EPR...
I would like to thank you and your colleagues at EPR for the guidance and support you have provided me over the past few months. In my case the process of managing a career transition post MBA studies was significantly enhanced by the partnership with EPR. By focussing on key achievements my resume was certainly transformed into a more compelling marketing document. Moreover, my interview skills and confidence was also improved by the video and group feedback sessions.
The importance of developing strong networking skills is a major theme espoused by EPR. This is something that will no doubt be of benefit in terms of my future career progression.

Position secured, and the salary package I had only hoped for was mine...
This career was exactly what I was looking for. This letter will not truly be able to express the depth of my sincere thanks to EPR for your enlightenment, guidance and empowerment in my career search. Having been through your workshop program and being totally focused on my mission as a result was the key to my success I’m sure.
The company interview went very well, I was confident and well prepared. They called me on the 21st and asked me to come in today (Monday 24th) to meet some other members of the team. I left there today with the position secured, and the salary package I had only hoped for was mine.
Please give my sincerest thanks to all those in your team that helped me and let the students know it is worth every minute of the challenges EPR set to reach your personal best.

EPR’s depth of knowledge and experience in the executive arena assisted greatly...
I got the job!
Thank you so much for responding to my very short notice and providing a ‘fast tracked’ program of coaching and advice in preparation for my attendance at my contract meeting in Adelaide. Your willingness to accommodate my requirements was greatly appreciated and reinforces EPR’s commitment to helping their clients. From our very first meeting we were able to establish a mentor relationship based on mutual respect and trust. Your depth of knowledge and experience in the executive arena was certainly evident in our discussions and assisted greatly in my preparations.
Your advice and guidance gave me the tools to approach my negotiations with confidence and conviction. I am convinced I was able to successfully secure a far better outcome on my salary and conditions of employment as a direct result of your help.

Public sector Economist to private sector Risk Manager, with salary increase of 30 per cent...
I am looking forward to a much more exciting position than my current role, and have probably increased my base salary alone by around 30 per cent.
Much of that is due to EPR. I’m sure I could not have made the transition from public sector economist to private sector risk manager without your help. In fact, I can only look back in horror at my original CV and interview technique. The training made a world of difference.

Effective networking was the key element to my successful career transition...
Before proceeding on leave for a well earned break, I want to thank you for your personal and friendly assistance in my career transition. It has been a pleasure to have you as my coach, standing back, watching, prodding and encouraging!
Helping to make networking work for me is the most outstanding and successful component of your program.
It seems to me that networking is likely the key element to most successful career transitions today.
As you know, I have used the process successfully in both job search and in a new business situation. In my view, it deserves far greater prominence within your suite of activities, particularly with the major social and structural changes that have been taking place and which will continue.
I must admit that it took a bit of courage and preparation for me to initiate the networking program, but the results were excellent and opened up new fields and horizons from the very first meeting. It was not easy initially, but the results are continuing and snowballing, to give me a much wider perspective.
