Privacy Act Policy

This privacy statement applies to the services offered by EPR International Pty Ltd (EPR) and also pertains to all EPR web sites. Please read this statement carefully before using our web site or entering into any transaction that may relate to your personal information.

EPR is committed to safeguarding all personal information collected in the course of assisting individuals in their career management.

The Organisation

Russell Johnson, Managing Director, established the company in 1992.

Collection of Personal Information

EPR collects Client information in a variety of ways including interviews with consultants, information supplied through the EPR web site and through e-mails and other correspondence from the Client to EPR.

The information collected is entered into our computer system database and can only be accessed by EPR employees for the purpose of assisting clients.

Type of Information Collected

EPR collects information that we perceive to be relevant in assisting clients in the management of their careers. Such information includes name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, relevant qualifications, work history, etc.

Data Quality

EPR will take reasonable steps to ensure that any information the Client consents to our disclosing to a third party is accurate, complete and up-to-date prior to disclosure.

Distributing and Sharing Personal Information

EPR is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients and will ensure that information submitted to us is used only for the purposes agreed to. The management of EPR is committed to ensuring we meet all standards required under the Act.

Personal information provided to EPR by our clients is used solely for the purpose of Client career management. Prior to any Client information being forwarded to a third party, permission is sought directly from the Client.

Opting Out

If a Client chooses to allow information to be transmitted but later decides they no longer wish to allow the process to continue they can simply contact the nearest EPR office and request to be removed from the circulation database.

Security Measures

EPR employs strict security procedures and firewalls to ensure the integrity and security of the personal information that we may hold. Only those with an authorised requirement have access to Client information

Sensitive Information

EPR will not request clients to disclose sensitive personal information. However, should you disclose sensitive personal information we will not disclose such information except with your permission. Sensitive information means:

  • Information or opinion about individuals' racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious beliefs or affiliations, philosophical beliefs, membership of a professional or trade association, membership of a trade union, sexual preferences or practices, criminal record.
  • Health information about an individual.

Our Web Site

When you visit our web site, we make a record of your visit for statistical purposes only. We do not record your IP address. The information reported on is the user's server address, top-level domain name, the date and time of visit, the pages accessed, the referring site, type of browser, etc. No attempt will be made to identify users or their browsing activities, except where required by law enforcement agencies when they exercise a warrant to inspect logs.

EPR may provide links from our web site to sites that may be of interest to those visiting our web site. We take all care, but accept no responsibility for the conduct of any company or organisation linked to our web site. Please feel free to contact EPR should you have any undesirable experience with linked web sites.

Accessing Client Information

In the event that a Client wishes to request access to their file on the EPR database, they are welcome to contact our administration officer on (03) 9224 2111. A $50 administration fee will apply. An appointment will be coordinated with the administration officer and the relevant consultant who will take the Client through their file and all details.

Updating Client Information

On viewing their file, should the Client wish to change, delete or update any details, they are welcome to sit in on a second session with their consultant and together reassess the details and skills documented.

Privacy Policy Changes

Should EPR update its privacy policy we will post those changes on our web site, www.epr.com.au.
